Anyone point me in the right direction on setting up a maratrac siren?
I picked up the switch and cable some time ago, small remote type with cable, and today I picked up a VHF maratrac, large (x9000 type ) control head.... any other parts I need? I have the syntor x9000/spectra type siren amps..is that what I need?

The Systems9000 siren is
not compatible with the Maratrac. The Maratrac siren is a stand-alone siren system, whose amp looks much like the Systems9000 amp, but works much different. The Systems9000 amp requires a Systems9000 serial bus , such as is found in the Syntor X9000 and Spectra, to communicate with the radio's control head, or even power up. In short, it can't work without one of the above mentioned radios. The Maratrac amp, on the other hand, while in the same housing, is designed to work independently of a radio. It was "styled" to work "with" the Maratrac, but will work without it. I don't know the part number off hand, but a little searching on the
main Batlabs site should turn it up for you. They turn up on EBay from time to time, sometimes mistakenly listed as a Systems9000 unit. IIRC, on the front of the unit, where the Systems9000 unit has "Systems9000" written, the Maratrac unit has "Maratrac" written. Best of luck!

Correct. The Maratrac version Siren has a different uP in it and a couple of minor component differences. The component differences are for control
on a couple of inputs by levels instead of on the data buss.
