NTN4734A Charger behaving weird

Post by lexxtank »

Ok, I got this charger about a month ago with a battery and an Astro Saber. The battery it came with "Batt A" is a Ni-CD 1800 mAh. "Batt B" purchased online is a 2700mAh Ni-MH For about 2 weeks now I have been using the radio with Batt B and then leaving it in the charger over night. It usually hits complete (green) before I finally fall asleep. Just about half an hour ago I noticed it never hit green within its usual time. I decided to take the battery out and reinsert it. I then got a yellow light that said standby with a picture of a thermometer inside a battery. After taking the battery back out I noticed the battery didn't seem hot. The charger felt hot, but I decided to test it Batt A. Batt A went in and it starting charging like normal. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like your aftermarket battery could be living up to its name.

Both are after market, and as it turns out if I pull out Batt B and put it back in (like I do with A) the same thing happens. I think the charger might be bad, but I'm not sure. Anyone know a way to fix this?
