Ok, This may be a Stupid Question but i'm going to fire it out there anyway, I have a couple old Mobiles i would like to tie into a command plus console for RECEIVE ONLY; this means that these "control stations" will never transmit. Is there anyway i can use the external speaker outputs and reduce to line level so i can tie it into the console without having to buy a Tone remote adapter??

Mikey,

Depends on the radio model. Some mobile radios, like the Maxtrac/Radius have a handset output that can be used, and is independent of the volume control.

So all i have to do is program the output for Handset audio and tie it into the Console?

I think that Will was sugesting that you tell us what model it is and we could advise of a method of connection.

I've got three Uniden BC-780 scanners running into a CommandPlus using their external speaker connections. Works great as a fancy speaker mixer and all the LED's, MDC decode, etc. work properly! Just run the two speaker leads to the two pins corresponding to the channel you wish to use. The CommandPlus has automatic line levelling and sounds great once you get the volume on the radio adjusted properly. Depending if your radio has a "line level" output pin, that could be used.
