Anyone know what software the EFJ 5100 uses? Can you use Astro 25 software or is it proprietary to EFJ, even though the radio is a virtual clone of an XTS?

Programming Cable??

-Thanks!

It takes EF Johnson PC Configure. The radio programming cable is different than any Motorola, but it uses a Moto key loader cable.

You will need the 2 sets of numbers that show up on the display as the radio boots up. This will
determine which version of the programming software you will need.

I believe it is 2.4.2, but it may not work on your older radios. EFJ has a tone of software versions
that have to match the firmware version of the radios. Be careful of what you try to buy, so that
you get what the radio your going to program will be compatible.
