Does anybody know when (specific year please) T-band (470-512MHz) two-way radio operations was first authorized?

Bonus point: Cite relevant document(s) on FCC website: NPRM's or R&O's; not simply Part 90 regs.

Bonus bonus point: How many T-band frequencies are currently programmed into Alex's XTS5000?

Hello :
Aparently tvsjr has taken offense to what my answer as the take a jab at it that it was.
So ill remove the info previously written as he claims its all wrong.
I google searched it and found the info but tvsjr says its wrong.
This started out as a trivia but now has turned into a scolding and name calling from tvsjr.
I dont apreciate being called cow thief or who ever your comparing me to.

Aside from your information being completely wrong, I'd suggest that you refrain from drunk-posting. Either that, or Cowthief has mooo-ved to Iowa...

It was supose to be a game.
Now your calling me cow thief which im going to assume is a bad member here .
I dont think the response you tvsjr was really necesary.

Same in LA, though it may have been as early as the late 60s.

I think Satelite's confusion may stem from the FCC "turning on" trunking on T band in 1997.

As for Terry, class is not one of his strong suits.

but there is so many people who do google, then copy and paste the answer to make us think they are smart. Sometimes they don't even know the queston. i think mr tvsjr is right.

Hello batass1
I see your just a new member as of yesterday the 19th.
Welcome to the bd.
The RF trivia started out as a trivia game with bonus points .
In a trivia game your many times wrong.
As i stated in the original posting = Ill take a jab at it for fun.
So i googled for the info.
I didnt copy paste i just wrote down what i found that appeared corect.
When i was told it was wrong i removed it and even stated i edited it to eliminate inacurate info.
I qeuss if you want to make more out of it than it was then its your right.
As for me im getting the feeling that the bd is again moving back to the lets fude again senario.
Take it for what it was = A game and i lost.
