Hi,

I have two MT6000E Radios, i'm aware they are almost or are identical to GP900 series Radios?, my radio was working fine but the battery was running low, i pushed the TX and the radio reset (has done this in the past).. usually when i turn the radio on the LED turns green and the display then reads 'self test' .. but now when i switch it on.. the green LED comes on but now flashes a sequence.. red, amber, green, amber .. and repeats this.. also the lcd does not come on at all..
Does anyone know what this means? has the units codeplug become corrupt? .. would re-programming the unit solve this?
I would appriciate any help Thank you.

Sounds like the Codeplug is corrupted..
With luck you have saved a copy of the Codeplug and can program it back into the radio??

Thank you for your reply,

Unfortunately i dont have the codeplug saved, would it be possible to copy the codeplug from my working unit and re-program the unit? currently i dont have access to the equipment but i know somewhere i can go to have this done.

Yes you could use the Codeplug from another MT6000E, you might need to use the 'Lab' version of the programming software to get the radio to accept it.. The downside of doing this is you would end up with a radio that has the tuning/calibration settings of the donor radio :x
