Hi all, I've searched EVERYWHERE to find what connection points do exactly what on a WARIS speakermic connector. In other words- If I wanted to use the mic from a Visar radio, and mate it to a waris connector--which wires go to which solder points on the waris connector? Any help is appreciated. I've done this before with a jedi mic, but cannot recall how I did it. Thnx, John

Viewing the RSM connector with the cable at the top and pins facing you, there are two rows of pinholes - some may not be populated with pins. The left row, from the top, is 1-3-5-7-9-11-13. Right row is 2-4-6-8-10-12.
Pin 1 is ext spkr. +
2 is ext spkr-
3 is option B+
4 is external mic hi
5 is option select 2
6 is option select 1
7 is ground
8 is rx data
9 is tx data
10 is RSSI
11 is xmit audio/rx audio
12 is boot control
13 is not used
To use an exter spkr mic, option select 1 must be grounded to tell the radio's uP that an accessory is attached. Option select 2 is then PTT from the spkr-mic.

Ground is available on pin 7 of the accessory connector, so you only need to tie the option pin to pin 7.
