MTS2000 Scan help

Post by mcouch7 »

How are you doing i just programmed a MTS2000 model 1 today and when it is in scan mode it stops on a channel that has a transmission without the correct pl and doesnt unmute speaker which is what its sposed to do. however it stays on that channel until that transmission is over. is there a way to make it verify pl is wrong and go on so i dont miss other things in scan list at that time.

thanks,

You might try enabling Priority Channel Marking. I've never programmed an MTS2000 to scan without it so I can't say for certian that this is your problem....however I believe this option will cause the radio to temporarily stop checking for correct PL on any channel from the scan list that had the wrong PL the last time it was scanned. It will automatically start re-checking for PL when the radio detects that the carrier has dropped, if my understanding is correct.

Also do your due diligence and re-check your PL/DPL settings for the personality....
