I currently have a mt2000 and i am trying to program it. is the software the same as the mtx 2000 and mt2000? and I baught the ribless cable (radio to com port) with that still work? I trited to read the radio but nothing happened.

need alot more information. the answer to your question is kinda? the dos based mtsx software will work on all of them if the radio hasn't been programmed with cps. but you say you have a mt2000, you will need the dos based mtsx, you can't use cps on it. so which software are you using? are you shure your radio is really an mt2000 and not an mtx or mts with a different sticker on it?
