Ext alarm relay kit HLN6642 vs GKN6272A

Does anyone have experience with external alarm triggering (horn/lights) using an MCS2000? Did you use an external alarm accessory kit, such as the HLN6642 or GKN6272? What's the difference between these two kits (besides the HLN being disc'd), and do they plug directly into the bottom accy connector?
