GP300 Error 21

Hi there.
I purchased 2x GP300's from eBay.
They do not seem to have any programmed data for > ch1. They will continuously beep on any channel apart from channel 1. Only on channel 1 will they talk to each other.

I have the R7 and R8 RSS and when I try and read the codeplug data I get Error 21 - Radio Not Supported. I thought that it may have been programmed in a higher version of RSS but I think I have tried the latest. Any ideas how I can read the codeplug data, if it has any onboard? It may be corrupt so how can I get a codeplug for this radio?
I am using a Ribless programming cable from eBay.
Model number for the radios are: P93YPC09C2AA

Thank You!

You may have a international version or a board that the board/guts are different then the actual case. Try reading it with the gp88 software. That particular software will read just about any radio gp300, gp350, p110, and of course gp88.

hi. i think that these radios can not be programed with that software. i think they are old radios with 2, 8 or 16 chanels. please confirm if the prog cable is connected in the back near the batery. if its like i say i can send you sof and cable diagram. regards, jorge

Hello,

P93YPC09C2AA is a VHF radio, 5 tone signalling ,16 chanels, 146-174 (144-176) mhz

you're using the general software, the software for general GP300, QuickCall signalling.

Your radio is not compatible with this software (Error # 21)

You need using the specific software for radios of 5 tone signalling.

Best regards,

Santi.
