Dear radio pros:
I got a GP338. I tried to program it using ribless cable, and software CPS R06.04.00. I also edited the registry so that the program is region-free.
However, when I open the software main window and click "read device" thru com1, it just returned "unsupported model," "application does not support reading this file".
I take the battery off the back, and I see ver. no: R05.13.09, made in Malaysia, model: AZH25SDH9AA6.

Pleae help, anyone?? I am a newbie to this and really desparately seeking for help. Is there a version incompatibility in CPS I use? or something else?

if your firmware is 5.13.09 then it's too new for that cps, update your cps. i may be wrong bu i thought the overseas gp300 series like that had their own separate cps? you may have the wrong cps since the error said unsupported model, if your cps was the right one just too old you would get a different error. no matter what you need different cps

You need Asia CPS for that radio.
