XTS2500I Keypad Problem

Post by Rayjk110 »

The lower part of the keypad (789,*0#) does not light up when the backlight comes on. This is a Panter radio, FWIW.

Is there a fix for this short of getting a new case?

Caveat Emptor in this case I'd say...

Consider the source and buy a new case. Perhaps look in the existing one for any water damage?

Well the radio works flawlessly other than the keypad problem... so I figure the LEDs probably went on it. I did not see any water damage on the radio or housing anywhere.

Swap to a known good case to verify what the problem is...

If a known good case is installed, and the keypad still doesn't work, something is fubar on the controller/rf board.

Cross your fingers that it's just the keyboard....

Good luck 8)

Nothing wrong with the keys themselves... it's just that the LEDs don't work. Doesn't effect operation but it's a minor annoyance.

Oh well.
