Motorola CP300 Accessory Pin Out

Hello to all. I have lurked on this site for many years gathering information about Motorola Radios. I work for a company that designs public safety systems. We interface motorola radios with our siren equipement to communicate 2-way and 1-way over the air. We use several different forms of activation with 2-way radios. DTMF, 2-Tone, Single Tone, Digital FSK and EAS.

So that's a quick run down of what I do for a living.

Anyway, my question is... Does a Motorola CP300 have the same Accessory pin out as the Motorola CDM750? Does it have the same plug on the back as a GM300, M1225 and CDM750? If it does I'm in business for a job I have to do in Maine next week. If it doesn't I need the pin outs and the type of plug it takes. I need to interface TX, RX Audio, PTT, CSQ and ground. Is there a plug on the back to do this? I have never played with a CP300 before.

If you mean a CM300, then yes you are in business. It has the same 16-pin connector as the other radios you mention, with many of the pins CPS programmable. There is no CP300 that I'm aware of.

I made a type. My apologies, it is a CM300 not a CP300.

Thanks for the reply. I greatly appreciate it.

Will my CPS tuner software that I use with CDM750 radios work with the CM300?

Nope, you need CPS p/n RVN4191_, Rev 5.07 is the current revision.
The tuner software is global, however. Check your PMs.
