rookie needs help w/ ht1250

My name's Gordon, I am very new into the whole radio world. I have 3 radios that I use for my job as a career firefighter and the others for my volunteer fire house and the buff group that I belong too. I recently purchased an ht1250 from ebay, and had it programmed. I got this so that I could get rid of the other two and just switch the zones and have the different G*s on the different zones. Everything went great and the radio's set up just how i wanted it, but compared to the other radios at the firehouse it isn't nearly as loud as they are. I have the volume turned all the way up and it sounds like it's at half compared to the radios at work. I don't know if its something that needs to be addressed in the program setup or not. I couldn't find anything. I originally thought my speakers were blown but I took a new mic from work and connected to it and it's still very low. Can someone help me out?
Model: AAH25SDH9AA6AN
Ver.no. R03.01.03
Software Version:R05.12.02
If you need any more info please feel free to email me and hopefully help me fix it.

Side thoughts: in addition to checking the volume setting, is it programmed for wide band and the freqs are narrowband? And if it is, is the companding turned on or off? Just fixed one with that problem last week. If the freqs are wideband and it's programmed wide band, is pre-emphasis/de-emphasis on?
Just some things that get overlooked sometimes...... Ask me how I know.....

I stated my experience in the past with this problem in the link below. Make sure the APF box is NOT checked, and try setting the expansion to disabled. In my fire department, I set the compression to AGC, and the expansion to disabled on this series radio. Make sure the pre-emphasis/de-emphasis is turned on, and each personality is set to the proper bandwidth. Check with who programs the repeater to see if the repeater is set to 12.5, or 25 kHz. You will get a little low modulation on 12.5, as my department has two narrowband repeaters, and two wide. I know all about this.
