I have an SS2000ss that is doing a quick single tone before the airhorn actually hits the first time... exactly like this video at 0:03:

Does anyone know what's going on with it or how I can fix it?

Mine does that every so often on my FS Vision. Not to worry.

ALL of our patrol cars do this, (all have the SS2000 in conj with Orion radios) Pretty much the first time an air horn tone is used per "session" or so. I think it is normal, or at least I've gotten used to it.

Ah, okay. Yes, that's exactly what happens... after the initial "toot" it's fine for several hours. It's just that quick taps on the airhorn aren't possible anymore!

I can't watch that video where I'm at, but it's likely the status tone that the SS2000 sends out to make sure the speaker is functional. It happens the first time the system is used after power-up. The delay is built in because of the serial bus, and the SS2000-GE or SS2000-ERCSN delay is even a few milliseconds longer than a stand-alone SS2000.
Quick A/H taps are possible once you get used to the delay of the system and how long you push the button.
