I dunno... is there a mod to disable the CAPS LOCK key on your keyboard?

no....it is a very old laptop. I saw something about hex editing. But I have no clue on how to do it.

This assumes your radio will lock... if you're too far outside the rated bandsplit, you may observe either poor RX performance (front end rolloff) or outright failure (VCO out of lock). There is not a 151-174 bandsplit P200... there was a 157-174, however. It is highly doubtful that this radio will perform well if at all on the ham bands.

valid bandsplits for Genesis radios:
HT600/P200 VHF/UHF:
VHF:
136-151
146-162
157-174
UHF:
403-433
438-470
470-488
488-512
MT1000's also came in 146-174 bandsplits. Low band radios were 29-36,36-42 and 42-50.
These radios aren't very widebanded and anything outside of 2 or 3MHz are about as far as they will go. a 157MHz high split won't drop to 2 meters, nor will a UHF low split (403-433) go up to 440.

I was afraid of that answer. Looks like I need to trade out of this radio. Too bad...very clean and a DTMF fad too. Oh well. Thx for your reply!!
