I thought that you could use the shift key method for out of band. This method works fine on my HT1000 450-520 ? I have a Maxtrac 42-50 that I converted to 32 channels monday and have been tring to get it to go out of bad down to 35.xxx . I have Maxtrac Rss 5.30 and I tried Max Lab but no go on out of band. This radio is a monitor only so no transmiting. I sold my CDM1250 low band and got this maxtrac. Any ideas ???

5.30 is too old to support the shift key method, you'll have to use another procedure such as editing the archive file.

In any case, expecting useful operation at 35.XX is probably asking too much of a 42-50 radio.

labmax 5.3 works fine for out of band down to 31 megs on a 42.50 unit.
Just hit F2 to continue when you get the error screen.
You will probably have to adjust the VCO, and it may not go down that far.

Be sure that you don't hold the shift key on the decimal point, and fill in all of the digits (even where the zeros are left) like this #%.^%))))) is 35.6500000. If you type in #%.^%00000 it will not take it.

Thanks guys ! What versions of Maxtrac RSS support the shift key method, old to new? I would have thought the older ones would do it and newer would not ,like 1225 CPS you cannot do the shift on it anymore.
