CDM 1250 programming problem

I am fairly new at programming radios, I have programmed a HT 1000, Maxtrac, 2 meter and 440 to the Ham band. I am programing a CDM1250 2 meter to the ham band and am having problems with it. I have it programmed for the local repeaters and the weather channel. I cannot hear any audio on the repeater channels, but do hear the weather channel. When I transmit I can hear it on the HT1000, but when I transmit on the HT 1000 I do not hear any audio, the field strengh meter on the front of the CDM 1250 will peg out, it is receiving the signal, but will not come out the speaker. The strange thing is, like I said, I can hear the weather channel on it. Anybody have any ideas? I have it set up the same as the HT 1000 and Maxtrac.

sounds like you have the pl/dpl wrong. set it to csq and you should hear everythin to confirm that it is working?

The other thought is that you have the RX and TX channels programmed in backwards. Take another
look at the frequencies and make sure they are in the right locations.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
I am using CSQ.
I have checked and double checked the TX and RX freq, and checked again. Sometimes I get a senior moment and can check something a couple of times and then find out it is wrong on the 5 or 6 time I checked it. I guess you call that old age.
Any more ideas? I have ran out of them. Like I said, I have a limited knowledge of programming, but am learning by tial and error.
I will post to the site if I find out what is wrong.
Thanks again.

Press the radio's monitor button to see if any other squelch type is blocking your receive. Let us know if this works or not.
There are multiple squelch types on a CDM. CSQ, TPL, & DPL. There are also signaling squelch types QCII, MDC, etc.
Under the programming of each personality, check the signaling tab. If you have a RX signaling system configured and you have signal squelch set to "AND", you must have the pl AND the proper quick call or MDC to open the radio's receive audio. As stated in the beginning of the message, press the radio's monitor button as this will also temporarily disable signaling squelch.

go to the channels tab and go to the signaling tab and make shure the signaling squelch is set to "OR" and set the rx system to "none" and try that

Thanks for the giving me some ideas, I am running out.
Under the squelch programming I hve the signaling set for none on TX and RX. The monitor button did not work, doing the same thing.

Thanks for the info on my problem,
I am using CSQ squelch, and none on both the tx and rx in the signaling tab, the OR selection is grayed out to the OR.

Thanks everyone for the response for my problem. I have found out what was wrong. When I programmed the HT and Maxtrac I did it wrong from my list of channels. I put the RX in the TX and the TX in the RX from my list and it worked, I did not know I had did that, when I did the CDM I did it right, I put the TX in the TX and the RX in the RX from my list, it did not work. I had the TX freq in the RX and the RX freq in the TX.
My list was wrong. I am not sure who told me to check that, they were right. I changed around one time, not sure why it did not work after I changed it, but I was under the impression it did not. I had checked the HT and Maxtrac but guess I did not check it good enough.
Thanks again everyone for the help, I am learning more on the programming each time I try to do it. Onward and upward.
I will blame it on old age.
Again thanks for all the help.
