1) Raising the volume up all the way distorts the transmissions, are there any audio settings that I could enable to make the audio louder and at the same time, clearer?

I had the same problem, I tried a lot of different settings ect, none of them worked. As a last resort, I totally wiped the codeplug, and started from scratch, it solved the distorted audio problem. I am wondering if my anti-virus program started scanning while the radio was being programmed?
