You're really unlikely to get a response to this question here on the board due to the sensitive nature of the question, and the potential (OK, guaranteed) misuse of the answer (Not necessarily by you, but someone out there for sure).

Can it be done? Well, of course it can. Do I know how? NO.

Will anyone tell you how? I doubt it. Will anyone admit they know how to do it? Unlikely.

There are folks out there who can do it. But they aren't talking, and it's most likely because they don't want to become a part of the Intellectual Property fiasco, such as that occurred with people doing this with ASTRO Sabers and XTS 3000's.

It also probably has to do with the fact that this is a very current product, and if this information became available to those who just didn't care about Motorola's IP rights or couldn't afford the options if they paid for them, Motorola would have a fit over all the illegitimately flashed radios out there, especially the ones that would inevitably end up in the hands of their paying public safety customers.

I'm not going to point any fingers at anyone, but there are an unusual amount of radios being sold on various markets that are pretty well-equipped flashcode wise. So many that I find it unlikely that these radios were legitimately purchased or legitimately flash upgraded that way, especially since a lot of them don't have tags. And not all of them come from Hong Kong, and not all of them were part of some "scrap out" or "beta line". However, I think you're already aware of this based on what you said in your initial post.

That being said, you're probably best off selling the radio you have, and buying one with the options you want. Motorola will *NOT* deal with 123ABC1234 radios in any way shape or form. You're also unlikely to get any responses from anyone out here privately or publicly offering help, as they don't want to be sued or have legal problems of their own.
