emergency fix fo antenna...
i found that i had a crack in the antenna down by the ribs , i tried to use black tape...(does not look good)
so i found that if you use HEAT SHRINK TUBING it works very well
it still has flex to the antenna
just take your time so you dont melt the heat shrink
i use 1 pice 3/8 X 1.25"

just wanted to pass it along....scott

The availability of heat shrink tubing is why we never object when our wives ask
for a new hair dryer, although the really hot air guns work faster.

Blasphemy! You can have my Ungar/Weller 6966 when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers! Besides, hair dryers don't work well on the adhesive-lined heat shrink...
