PURC 5000 Password on Advanced Controller

Post by ke4zdg »

Someone gave me a PURC5000 with the TRN7337 board (Advanced Control) a couple weeks ago. I'm going to convert it to a ham repeater, but it's asking me for a password. The guy who gave it to me said he never messed with the settings in it and didn't have the password. Does anyone know if I can reset it to the original default password (5000)? Possibly one of the DIP switches?

Thanks,

Jared

There is a blurb over on repeater-builder site about the purc's. It may cover what your asking

Unfortunately it doesn't. There is no info at all about the Advanced Controller other than the part number for the manual.

Anybody else?

There is a dip switch on the PURC 5000 Advanced Control deck that you flip, power the station up, power it down, move the switch back to the original position, and it defaults the password back to "5000". Just one at a time do this process with all the switches on the board and you'll eventually get the right one.
