XTS5000R Housings no longer available on MOL?

Guys,
I was just looking on MOL to grab a new 'R' housing for my VHF 5K, and I was shown that the part number had changed. From what I saw in the description, it looks like the only 'R' housing for a Model-III was the yellow housing, and that it's unavailable...
Can anyone tell me what the real differences is with the two styles of housings, and do any of you know where I can get the black 'R' housing from brand-new (I love Panter88, but I want brand-new this time)?
Thanks in advance!

1585468D45 is the Model 3 Black R housing, and it's showing available... I know the numbers between the Yellow and Black are a little confusing on the exploded view parts list, but that is the correct part # for the Model 3 Black R housing..

Doesn't make Panter's pricing look that bad, eh?
By the way, you can put a standard housing on a rugged radio. It won't meet rugged spec anymore, but if you do the swap yourself it won't be anyway, until you have it resealed, retested and recertified.

Guys,
Looking at Akardam's list there, what would I need to buy to get the knobs & switches in the housing already (like the way Panter sells his stuff). I sure the heck hope it's not that $300-$400 part!)?
The XTS5000 part breakdown I have shows that the bracket & controls are not included (damn!) How hard could it really be to remove that stuff without damaging it?

Keep hopin' there... that's why I said his pricing doesn't look too bad after all...

It can be done, but it is a very, very delicate and not at all straightforward prospect. One tiny slip and you've fubar'd a flex, and it's game over. If you're really keen to try, the following page is for the 3k but in that respect the 5k is basically the same:

In the long run, if you really have a need to swap out the housing, you're probably better off buying one on the used market. Can put in a plug for Jim, n7maq, who replied above - he's a well known and respected member of the community and will be happy to help you out.
