Hello all,
I am looking at purchasing one of the two: A VHF version of the HT1250 or of the EX600XLS.
Do any of you have any suggestions, reviews, comments, etc as to which one I should go with?
Thanks!

The EX600 (Minnow series) is basically a compact Waris series radio. I'd personally go with an HT1250 if you don't mind not carrying as small of a radio as the EX is. While the EX works OK, you'll get better audio out of an HT, bigger display, etc...

Due to financial reasons I'm not looking at an HT1550.
Any thoughts on an HT1250 vs EX600XLS?

EX600XLS has more channels, longer warranty, does trunking, and has a poor battery and audio accessory selection. No IMPRES for EX series. Both use the same software. EX600 is about 2/3the size of an HT1250.

After using both the HT1250, and the EX600, I prefer the 1250. The EX is simply too small of a radio. I like the feeling that the radio is actually THERE in your holster, then guessing. True, the EX600 is a VERY feature packed radio, it's just not my cup-a tea (especially for a public safety radio).

the ht1550 is only about $100 more than the ex600. and well worth it for the big display

All,
I was able to find a HT1550 for a reasonable price and I will most likely be going with that now.
Thank you all for your input!
