ADVISOR help needed please

Here is the short of it..

I purchased a total of 15 ADVISOR pagers on e-bay. 5 from one seller and 10 from another.
Pager specs are :

First 5 Model: A04KLC5962DA
Frequency..460.275

Other 10 pagers

Model: A03KLC5362DA
Frequency...154.9200
I am going crazy trying to get the lot of ten I bought to work. I have them all set to our county frequency of 154.025, POCSAG 1200 and the same capcodes. Models A04 (the first 5) work perfectly. The others A03 will not go off at all. I tried doing sequential programming and also one by one, but no luck. One note though, the 10 that are not working where not synthesized and had Metropolitan Police across the screen. I synthesized them with the software. I am lost, any help would be great. Thank you...I have 15 firefighters down my neck

Ok...

Exactly what did you do to each?

The first 5 UHF pagers you reboarded to VHF and all is well, correct?
The second 10 VHF pagers are the ones giving you problems, correct?

When you said that you changed them to "synthesized" did you add synth VHF RF boards, or are they crystal controlled?

Everything I did was through the software. The UHF units came with 154.025mhz programmed in them.

The vhf units did not have the synthesized option enabled . I just enabled it and put our counties frequency of 154.025 in. I am new to pagers, "RF board" oh boy... I hope this gives you the info you need. Thanks

The pagers you received as VHF are most likely crystal controlled, not synth.
You need to purchase crystals, having them installed and tuned for the pagers to work.
The majority of Advisors were never synthesized. And those that were, their reception sucked! (similar to the zero-IF boards for the advisor golds)

pagecorp or Bomar are decent for crystals.
