Change the regionalcode,with the Waris labtool,or get an old european Waris firmware (GM/GP3xx-6xx or european CM3xx made before 2008) and look for the first 01E1 string.Look for the first 0F84 obove the 01E1 string and edit it to 0F85.
Run the tool go to Radio Access/Program Regional ID.

I know this thread is old but i am using cps 5.16 and have a vhf cp200 that is ranged at the bottom to 146 and i would like to program it below that. where and what do i need to change in the cps. thanks.

Click on and start it.
Now,you have all regions enabled.

I have an easier way than that.
Its a add-on crack. Can be used with 05.15 and down to 05.07
Usefull to find out a password on a codeplug then access it correctly.

I've completed the hack on one of my computers. Worked great. I have 3 other computers, using Windows 7, that I can not find the Motorola/ XXX file using the regedit . Can someone let me, what I'm doing wrong?

kato, AA is the North American version radio so if you have the US software you should be good to go...unless I am missing something?

i'm gonna guess that you have a vhf radio? if so that radio can do 136-174 out of the box, you shouldn't have to alter anything

Not so much. Commercial Series is 136-162 or 146-174.

im trying to get a pm400 to go down to 460.000 with 5.12

I changed the 7505 to 9090 in both places.

I save the changes and reopen the cps.

I put in the 460 frequency and tab to the PL setting and the frequency reverts back to 465.0000 automatically.

Any ideas?

Anyone got the region/password hack for R5.18 yet ?

I did both 5.16 and 5.17 Region code hack successfully;
Hex edit Search cps.exe for TWO (only) instances of 75 05 BF 01 and change the 75 05 to 90 90 both places. (leave BF 01 alone).

For password bypass hex edit search cps.exe for ONE (only) instance of 75 09 8B CE and change 75 09 to 90 90 (leave 8B CE alone).
I could not test the password bypass hack as luckily I don't need it.
(Save a backup copy of cps.exe just in case)

Hate to resurrect an old thread but i did confirm that the password hack is good on the 5.16 cps from Max-trac's info.
