CDM1550 MDC Issue

I just received my CDM1550 back from Depot where they replaced the main board.
Since it came back, it will not properly display MDC ID #s.....
On any repeater channel it will only display an ID after the repeater has Dekeyed, meaning if multiple people are talking, I will only see the last ID received, and will only see it after the repeater keys down.

Has any one run in to this issue??

Should be running the latest firmware since it just arrived back from DEPOT last week, and I am using CPS R06.10.02

Thanks!

Yes - I noticed this exact same issue as well with the firmware 5.08.02 which I believe is the latest rev. I have seen CDM's with older firmware that do not have this issue. It is kind of annoying if you would like to see the ID's come up. If you read the fixes posted for 5.08.02 there were changes to an issue dealing with long MDC alias lists and squelch issues of some type. It seems that the "fix" broke this functionality. I guess the only thing to do is sit tight and see if the fix for this fix comes around in a later firmware revision.

I tried playing with the MDC settings but nothing made a difference. And this behavior does not seem to happen on simplex (talkaround). You take two radios with different ID's, key up one after another and the id's come up everytime right away

That would tell me that the pre delay is set too short and the repeater is chopping the ID string. Try going
into the radio and making the pre delay longer. This holds the MDC from being sent until the delay is over.
I normally set this in the range of minimum of 150 ms. to 200 ms.

Thanks for the info and if Pre MDC was used that can be an issue. and but here everyone uses Post ID so where does the chopping come into play? The person already sid his/her message and the burst comes at the end to the repeater is on air at that point. The thing is that what I saw with this particular radio (others have older firmware) is this delay in displaying the ID. It comes up after the repeater stops transmitting like the OP said - a long time to wait but it does come up especially if the repeater has a long hang time. And the ID is correct for the radio that was on the air even though you wait for it If the ID string was chopped then you would get nothing I'd think or less likely some incorrect value perhaps.
