EM400 Codeplug programming (DTMF)! Help needed!

Well guys I have those two identical radios (EM400 Motorola Branded).
Have copied one's codeplug and made a "clone" of it to the second one.
The source radio has its ID (let's say 29) recognized by my DTMF decoder.
After changing the ID of the second one (remember is a clone of the 1st), let's say to 38, and "burn" it to the radio, my DTMF decoder says there's an error and displays the ID as 08.
Have tried that in several radios, several ID's and the only digit recognized is the second one of the ID (38 = 08, 39 = 09, 14 = 04)
what am I doing wrong???
have tried changing timing/spacing to send the tx tones but with no changing effect.
any tips?
