is there any ez way to add a full key pad to my ht1250? I would just add it along with a refurb case kit. Does anyone have a parts radio I could get the key pad off? if so how much $$$??

just get a refurb kit for a full keypad radio (i sell them for $39.50, new ht1250 label included) and then turn on hot keypad for each personality you want to have dtmf for
the limited keypad radios already have a full keypad keyboard inside....

wow , great news, I didn't know that. thanx for that info. I should have the radio here within the next 2 weeks. if it's all good I will be getting that kit from you. thanks again. one more thing. would you happen to have a display for a 45 watt spectra? mine crapped out and I don't want to buy a whole radio off ebay for parts if I don't have to. a used pull out would be fine.

For the HT1250's, just be aware that there are "A" and "B" model case differences. Very subtle. I think I have a B radio and was able to get the A case to fit, or vice versa. I think there is a change in how a tab or two fits. It was over 2 or 3 years ago when I did it, so I don't remember the details. Needs a little finesse, but it works.
