Looking to purchase a Minitor III, with a Split of 450-457.999, and going to try and program it to 458,750, will this work? If not, any way to override? Thanks, KC2PAP

I did not have a UHF Minitor III to try this on, but we did have a couple of new Minitor IV's, 2-freq. with Stored Voice, 450-457.999, in the inventory, so I tried programming 458.750 into one of them.
The standard software, both Windows and DOS versions, would not let me go above 458.675. This would be the same on a Minitor III. Maybe one of the software guys knows how to force things up to 458.750
Since you are wanting a 450-458 model but need 458.750 also, I am assuming that you want 2-frequency operation with the other channel in the normal 450-458 range. You may need to consider a Minitor V in the 453 to 462 band split. That model will program down to 452.300, hopefully your other frequency is above 452.300.
Or, you may need to consider the tried and true Minitor II. That will definitely work.
If you are interested in new Minitor IV's, 2-freq with Stored Voice, 450-457.999, we have two.
Hope this helps!

If you have the Windows PPS just enter into the engineering mode (the password is the capital city of Taiwan) and change the band split.

Thanks for the Replies.
Only looking for a one Frequency Model, not Two. Found one on Fleabay for a good price, and was looking to bid on it, but didn't know if it was going to work or not.
If anyone on here has the programmer, and can program it to 458.750, Please PM me and We can Discuss.
Thank you -KC2PAP

I am not trying ti hi-jack the thread, but I found these pagers also, and can the 464-469 ones go down to 462.975? I looked at all of the pagers and none seem to cover this band split, any ideas? In the engineer mode, how do you get there, and will it hurt the performance of the pager? Thanks,
-Ed

I'm With Jim on this one, i have went into the engineering mode of a couple of pagers and changed the band split and it worked with no sensativity issues or anything. Been working for almost 2 years now this way without any problems.

and a proper noun (such as the name of a city) should always be capitalized
