Influence of tower/mast to antenna radiation pattern

Happy New Year to all!

I am using Radio Mobile Deluxe to perform some decent RF propagation analysis. One variable that I know is not what it should be is the corrected radiation pattern (Horizontal), that is due to the sidemounting of the antenna to a mast/tower.

are there any programs that are available (freeware and/or $$$ ones), that can predict the pattern change due to various mounting methods ?

Thanks
Akash

The antenna manufacturers can give you more specific answers than the generic antenna software models will produce. There are versions within the various antenna series from various manufacturers that are designed to be side mounted rather than top mounted, and the propagation specs can be used to calculate the performance.

There's an old DOS program called T Plot that does what you're looking for in the files section of the Repeater Builder Yahoo group:

I believe the radiation patterns in that program were derived experimentally, not theoretically, but it's at least a decent start and it's free.
