Does anyone know if the NTN7513E in an MTX9000 is tool proof? I have a MTX9000 with a NCN6153A that is not tool proof. Can anyone give me a controller part number that is known not be tool proof?

I can tell you that one of my MTX9000's have a NTN7513B and it is not a a tool proof controller.

I am not certain but I do not think any of the MTX9000 B3, B5 or B7 models had a tool proof controller
under normal circumstances.

Thanks. I have two MTX9000 B7's with NCN6153A controllers that are tool proof. These came from different sources and it appears that for a period of time, Mot scaled down the Jedi line to one controller.

According the Jedi parts list the NCN6153A controller is for an MTS2000 Model 1, 2 or 3 900Mhz radio.
If you definately have a MTX9000 I suppose they could have been used as a replacement controller and
loaded with a codeplug from the appropriate MTX9000 model. I am not familiar with all the variations
so not sure what else to tell you.

None of the MTX 9000 controllers in all the radios I have owned have been tool proofed, or able to be.

I doubt circle-M had the idea that this model radio would ever be used for 'nefarious' uses, so they never thought about 'securing' the controller
from hacking tools.

Just my thoughts and not fact.
