Programming Regular Saber oscillator warp questions

I'm trying to program the oscillator warp in a regular saber (H44QSJ7139CN). I remember seeing a program value
button when finishing the adjustment. I don't see that in this rss version R07.01.00
When you exit the service menu the adjustment you just made disappears.
So I tried reprogramming the radio with F2 using the rpf values. Then it takes.

Is this the correct way to do this?

Thanks

Acording the to V7 RSS manual on page 23 the VCO adjustment is effective as soon as you make it. Oscillator warp and power level are the two adjustments that specifically do NOT call for you to reprogram the radio when you're finished making adjustments. But whatever works for you is obviously the best way to do it.

Also, do you mean QXJ rather than QSJ?

Well that is the deal. The radio reverted back to the original setting after exiting rss.
When I reprogrammed the radio with rpf tuning data it stayed. ???

The warp setting and power presets are, as I said, the only two sections in my book that do NOT say to reprogram, so it looks as if the printer dropped a couple of lines from the printing that he should have left in. It's been a long time since I warped a Saber so I can't remember the correct procedure. Just looking the setup logically it would seem that if you have to reprogram to "set" a bunch of other things then you would have to reprogram to "set" the warp and the power levels as well.
