Astro Spectra Consolette DIP switch settings

I just got of the phone with /\/\ and the service manual for the Astro Spectra Consolette has been canceled. So I'm curious if anyone here has any idea what the DIP switches on the TRC board are for. As I'm about to interface this with a C200 L3149A Advanced deskset in the 2 wire Tone configuration. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

How's it going man? This is from the XTL manual, but I've used the same TRC boards in XTL and Astro consolettes so hopefully this'll help you out.

S100 (Located beneath the RF shield, situated below the RT)
1- Always off for Astro
2- On = local mic audio not routed down wireline Off = local mic audio routed down wireline
3- On = tone remote control Off=smp control
4- On = AGC disabled Off=AGC enabled
5- Leave at default
6- Leave at default
7- Leave at default
8- Leave at default

S101 (Located on the end of the board closest to the power supply, visible when removing the top cover)
1- On = Control head pwr button disabled Off = Control head pwr button enabled
2- Not used
3- On = EMER active high Off = EMER act low
4- On = 600 Ohm Off = 900 Ohm
5- On = 900 Ohm Off = 600 Ohm
6- On = local mic not present Off = local mic present
7- On = 2 wire Off = 4 wire
8- On = 4 wire Off = 2 wire

You probably already know this, but some people don't so I'll throw it in anyway. Make sure it is in fact the TRC board (RJ-45 jack against the back of the chassis) and not the AIB board (no jack present). S100-2 and S101-6 are referring to the desk mic plugged into the front of the radio, and are only important if you have a radio at a user location that is also remoted out to other distant users. S100-5 through 8 are referring to the standard tones used to change channels, monitor, key, etc. (1950 Hz, 1850 Hz, 1750 Hz, etc.) Default dip switch setting use standard tones, and only need to change if you plan on changing the output of your tone remote. S101-4 and 5 work in tandem, and must be opposite each other according to the impedence of your tone remote. Same situation for S101-7 and 8 for 2 wire or 4 wire.

Thanks a lot man. Do you happen to have the pinout for the TRC board RJ45 connector?

Actually, sorry man but I don't. I've never used it and I don't have the manual here. I'm at my place and my info is at work. I've always used the bottom "accesory" connector (DB25 connector on the back of the case). Pins 1 & 16 for 2 wire tone remoting. We use some MC2000s and a few other devices, for me polarity usually doesn't matter but I have seen it fix a non-working remote so I try to configure the pinout correctly and avoid those issues altogether. I can post those on Monday if you need it.

I got the Tone Remote working. Turns out I had it plugged in the wrong Accessory jack.
