Recently I tried reporgramming my hi power VHF Astro Spectra with 12.5k NFM analog and digital freqs. When programming it came back and wouldn't take the 12.5 freqs. Here is the model # and Flashcode. When reading the radio, the CPS says the firmware and DSP is unknown. Anyone have any ideas why this is? To the best of my knowledge this radio should easily accept 12.5k spaced freqs and do NFM. In the personalities, 2.5k dev and 12.5 k spacing is seleced in the TX Option for all modes programmed as such. FOr now, to program successfully, we had to remove all 12.5k spaced freqs, then shes happy. This however is not good.

First, we have an ASTRO forum for a reason. Try posting there for such issues.
Next, an Astro Spectra is not an ASTRO 25 radio.
Your radio likely has an old RF deck... pull the bottom cover and check the part number - should be HRN6014. What's the version (last letter)? It should be D or newer to support splinter channels. Your existing radio should do 2.5KHz transmit deviation, it just won't do it on splinter channels (it'll work on 155.6400 but not 155.6475 - the oscillator in the older decks isn't stable enough for such work).
You'll need to replace the RF deck ($570 NSO from Motorola) and complete a full realignment. You'll also need non-ancient firmware. As for the firmware and DSP unknown, is that from a read out of the radio or from reading a saved codeplug? Unknown will show unless you actually read the radio with a cable. If that's a direct read, you probably have a bad hack job.
Report back with the RF deck part number and the firmware/DSP revision reported in service mode (press home 5 times after self-check).

Re: Astro Spectra not accepting NFM 12.5k spcng freqs
I'd bet more than likely Terry's diagnosis is the problem, here is another possibility that may be an issue (seeing you have multikey)
Is the radio secure equipped? If so, (and secure equipped is enabled in the codeplug), you must be sure the radio is not setup for DES-XL on the analog 12.5khz channels. You can't run analog securenet on a narrowband channel. (thus, you cant have it enabled in the conventional personality under the secure tab.)
To rule this out, disable secure on those personalities and see if the invalid fields error clears.
