I need help figuring out what type of antenna connector this is. It's on a GE KRD103 radio. I've done numerous searches online and have not found anything, or a source for this type of antenna. The radio is VHF, but it came with a UHF antenna.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! If anyone knows of a source for these too, that would be helpful as well!

Looks kind of like a TNC connector...

Id say TNC also. It looks like the same antenna and thread as the analog Saber PS mic antenna

Not a TNC. A TNC is a constant-impedence connector - center pin, outer ring, then physical attachment. No outer ring on that thing...

The TESSCO catalog probably contains some reliable information about this type connector, whatever it is.

I think it was on the weird Jobcom radios that I once discovered a garage sale. They looked they used F connectors. Yes, I said F connectors like whats on your CATV or Satellite!

Hello,
It is definately a TNC termination.

A quick research session with a PS spkr/mic and two UHF antennas that fit the jack on the mic shows that there are two kinds of TNC plugs and both fit the jack. One is on a Larsen Kool Duckie/UHF and it has an Amphenol 31-5667 connector which has the double-ring configuration as described by my co-moderator tvsjr. The other antenna is one of the old Motorola cheapies that went with the speaker mics for the MT500s. It's also a definite TNC, but it's lacking the double-ring configuration and has only the center pin and the threaded barrel, but it fits the mic connector perfectly.
Mystery solved?

I think it's been solved, the tessco antenna that FireCpt809 pointed out looks very much like the one I need.
Thanks to everyone for taking the time and pointing me in the right direction, it is greatly appreciated.

It is definately a TNC (Threaded Neil Concelman) connector, but without the usual center contact for the shield.
They are a cheaper form of TNC, but a TNC nonetheless.
