Batboard

I have an MTX8250 that was given to me and I am trying to recover it, but I don't know what the error codes mean or what I can try. I have the appropriate software I believe. When the radio is first turned on it posts FAIL 01/81 and then beeps and switches to 00/81. I do not have the original codeplug. I can read the radio in the software and even program it from what I can tell, but can not get it to return.

Any ideas? I would like to try and save this radio.
