XTL 5000 O-5 inputs, single to dual possible?

I'm trying to change an XTL-5000 with a single O5 input and turn it into a dual O-5 input. Can I just buy the interface and install it? Is there any firmware/software changes that need to be done?

Sure it's possible, just daisy chain the O5 heads to one another and then set in CPS the number of heads the radio should expect. You might also have to put the heads in FPP mode so you can assign unit numbers to them. You can daisy chain up to 4 heads to one radio. Other than additional heads and remote cables, there's no particular interface needed
