Hey guys,
I have a Impress Battery (HNN4003A) That I had bought recently and have not used in awhile. While attempting to put on the charger today I got a flashing red light saying it is nonchargeable. Now I know this is a brand new battery but is there something I did wrong? and is there a way to bring this back to life?
thanks,
steve

What is the date code on the battery? If it's still under warranty, get it replaced. If not, fork over for a new battery.

When the Li-Ion batteries get down to real low voltage they can sometimes be very difficult to charge on the Impres charger. Another option would be to charge the battery in a standard rapid charger for a few minutes to bring the voltage up just a touch, then cycle it back to the Impres charger.
I can't stress this enough--- do not store dead Lithium Ion batteries! If you know you won't use it for awhile, charge it to 50%.

just to provide an update...
Can charge the Impres battery now (getting steady red after a long steady amber) but will not enter into 90% and fully charged state (no flashing or solid green light) it was my fault for storing the battery in a unacceptable condition but i thought i would provide you guys with an update. Escomm, can you FULLY charge an Li-Ion Impres battery on a standard charger??
thanks again!
steve

Good to know on the storage of the Impres batteries.
Just got 8 HNN4003 ( date code 2005) in from customer who said they would not charge, taken out of battery cabinet after 4 years of storage as spares.
Same symptoms as above. Will try putting some juice to them.
