Does anyone have an insight on how to replace the polarity diode without a blow touch as it can't be unsoldered from the back side of the board? :-)

Use a 1000 degree soldering iron and the solder blob method, take a bunch of solder and make a big blob and move the blob around the area of the diode to heat up the board equally then you can reach the diode with a pair of forceps or needle nose pliers and off it will come, you must be quick to remove the diode before the board cools! I have to do that same method to get RF connectors off of MCS boards, XTS and XTL boards...

OK, thanks. I'll give it a try....breaking out blow torch and soldering iron.

Or you could use the correct tool, the two sided hot air station....
