100W MCS2000 TO MC2100: is it possible?

Hi all,
I need a hi-power lo-UHF radio, Select-5 capable.
I know that MCS2000 can be turned into an MC2100 but I don't know if this is possible to the "big one" too.
I was also thinking about Syntors & Spectras but lo-spit UHF radios are very rare and the radio must be retrofitted with a Select-5 board.
The board is not an issue ,since we manufacture such boards, but why tampering with hardware since I could possibly do it with software?
