I am programming one of many radios and I have just taken over this job. I'm trying to enter in the RSS software the indvidiual Radio ID which is 6 digits so when it keys up it will identify the radio on the dispatchers screen. When I enter the ID into the screen example 600421 for an example and key it up the number is totally different than what I have specified. I have tried hex conversion etc and I have not found much in the manual concerning this. I also have come across radios with names so when they key up and name is displayed on the dispatchers screen... example "bkup" for backup.. I am trying to program the MTX8000 or MTS2000 flashport which is actually the mtx8000 if anyone can tell me what i might be doing wrong please let me know.
