Silly antenna question

The HT1K's and a few other radios have an SMA male connector on the top of the radios........FEW more have the "MX" threaded connector on them (like the Saber or HT600). Will the SMA female antennas work in the MX threading?
Anyone know the part number(s) for those silly UHF (438+) antennas w/ an MX connector and the little bal @ the top?
(Im weird, i know)

They may thread together, but the functionality is not there as the SMA has a center conductor which mates to the center pin on the HT1k.
This means while the antenna fits on the HT600 from the HT1k, it will not radiate any signal.
And to do the opposite, go ahead and try an HT600 on a HT1k, you will short the RF connection and will soon find yourself buying a new 1000 when you blow the RF hybrid.
The right antennas for the job
HT600 - 8505247k06
HT1000 - 8505241u05
