Astro Spectra Question

Hello,

I have an ASTRO Spectra operating on a digital smartzone system. The radio works great but I am having one issue, I can not get the trunk ID alias to show on the display. I am using RSS 9.5 and found the section for entering alias information. I entered several of them but it still shows the ID number rather than the alias, I don't know if I am missing a setting or what. Any ideas?

Also, opinions on if it would be worth the money to refresh the host/dsp to current, would I notice a lot of difference in audio quality or features?

Yes, and a firmware refresh should also solve your problem. With the R11.xx.xx host, you'll actually be on a 3600 SmartZone system, even if you're using digital voice.

Astro spectra will not show radio ID alias, just the decimal ID when ID Display is enabled. Astro Spectra PLUS, on the other hand (being closer to an Astro25 radio) will.
