Centracon Series II Question

Hi All!
A Question for the Centracom GURUS -
My current 6809 setup has a BLN6776 Audio Distribution Card per OMI - and it NEEDS to be connected either directly to the OP using the T CCII+ Y cable on the CEB side, or to the Audio distribution board (in the lower part of the console by your feet...connector P8) with another 9 pair telco cable in order to have any audio to be passed to the OP position at all. From all I have heard/read/experienced this is normally not the case on a 6809 OMI setup....any thoughts on why it is set up this way? As I cannot read/alter the PROM I have no way of understanding the reasons for the Audio Dist Card to even be in the mix at all.
Another curious thing about this configuration....if I re-locate the select and unselect speaker ribbon cables from the Audio Dist Board in the base of the console (eliminating it totally) to the CIE board (the board that contains the connectors for the CCM's and where the OMI cable/goosneck mic plugs in) and utilize the T cable on the CEB side of the 9 pair Telco cable...I will get select/unselect audio...like you should with a CCII....but I won't get the VU meter to deviate on RX...only TX. Then if I use the headset jackbox the audio will not transfer to the headset...it stays on the console speakers...yet the mic xfers from the gooseneck to the headset. I am sure this is a programming issue...but why would the system's fathers decide they needed to use an additional audio card and an extra cable to handle something the 6809's could do with just 1?
Any help would be appreciated...I am trying to resurect 2 of these units, one for me and the other for a local PD as a basement backup. Theirs still works but I will be needing to change some configurations. (mostly 2w to 4w control and some paging tones that have been added over the years)
ALSO IF ANYONE HAS EXTRA (EEPROM) TOMI's and/or AEI's I NEED 2 OF THEM! I know they have to be out there collecting dust....these things are being de-commissioned all the time for the new MC series/Centracom Gold stuff. I refuse to spend $500+ per card for used items like I have been quoted at a certain Internet "Surplus" website!
___OR___
Would be interested in talking to anyone that could still program the current OMI's...looking to have 1 - 8 channel single OP setup and the other as a 2 OP - 8 Channel setup. Not looking to change any TDM addresses or MUX BUS settings...just re configuring the OP layout, features, and converting some CCM's to 4 Wire full duplex!
Thanks in advance!
