Hi Everyone...

I just got this radio, and the program reads it fine, but as I add a few channels, then write to the radio...all shows OK, but the radio does not show the new channels or features I just changed.....but, if I read the radio, it lists the new channels on the software...strange.

Anybody know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
- Mark

Did you add the channels in the zone/channel assignment screen?

I have a similar problem. Got a 9250 radio that had 3 freq's in it. I have no programming equipment so a friend came over to put in 15 freq's total. We put all the info in, including the names etc, but only the 1st 3 channels are correct. We did change the 1st 3 freq's & names etc. Ch 4 & up while showing the correct names are all ch3. All the added channels are the same as ch3, but the displayed names are correct for those ch #'s. What happened here? GARY N4KVE

Did you choose the appropriate conventional personality for each zone/channel entry?

Gary,

I have programmed many MTX9250s, so please let me know if I can help. When you add a conventional personality, CPS duplicates the standard entry; when you add a zone channel, the previous entry is duplicated. It almost sounds as if you edited your personalities / zones without saving them. I would have to see your codeplug to figure out what went wrong.

Thanks for the help. I have to wait for my friend to come back with his laptop. I think I know what to look for. Years ago I used to program Jedis & System Sabers with RSS. I got to be real good at that & had no problems but this CPS stuff is totally different. GARY N4KVE

I ran into my buddy today & suggested this & it worked great. Fortunately he had his laptop with him. Funny thing, it's an old DOS computor for the old radios needing RSS. No windows at all, but it runs CPS for the 9250. Thanks again. GARY N4KVE

Nope... he's probably dual-booting to DOS or something. 9250 CPS would require Windows 98 or better.
