Anyone still capable of doing this? I have everything I need here, but I'm having a problem.....I can use the Shooter to copy an eprom, but I can't seem to program changes made to a database into a blank eprom.......I donno what I'm missing here.......the result is a blank eprom every time..........maybe the 3" of DUST on the programming box has something to do with it....................

Does anyone have the pinouts for the BKN6113 & BKN6114 cables?

Does anyone have the jumper settings for the RS232 card for use with a Shooter?? I'm <> this close here......everything acts like it's working, but it looks like what's happening is FPP data is not being sent to the shooter properly.

I am no expert here but I have done a couple of them so I'll toss out my 2 cents worth. When you upload the codeplug to the shooter, does the shooter indicate "busy" and then go to "ready"? If so, I would think it is communicating ok. One problem I saw when someone here in the shop tried and had your results of blank eprom, was that he uploaded the data to the shooter but didn't press "prog" after it indicated "ready". As I recall, and it has been a while, it is a two step process. Upload to the shooter memory and then program the eprom. You also must have the proper jumpers in the "CNF" socket for the type of eprom you are using. I presume you know that but just another thought.

Thanks for responding.......the indicators on the shooter flash yellow/green back and forth......the shooter manual says if that happens the shooter is not accepting the transfer command......I'm not sure why or what to do......I did in fact manually try to "program" the eprom by pushing the buton with no difference. The FPP indicates "Downloading....." and then "Programming......." normally, but it looks like no data is going to the shooter.
Would you have the proper jumper settings for the RS232 card and/or the wiring for the BKN6114 cable? It's been many moons since this equipment was used, but it was functional at one time, so I'm not sure wha'happent!
I'm exploring trying to capture the data download to another computer running hyperterm and then trying to get that into the shooter.......I donno how to do that, but I read a response from someone here about that being an option.......

I am unable to find the wiring info or jumper settings. Maybe someone else will chime in with some help.

Sarge,
Are you using the old 6809 OMI's, or EPROM based TOMI's?
If they are EPROM based TOMI's, they can be upgraded to EEPROM and you can program them via serial link to the RS232 card in the CEB.
If they are old 6809 OMI's that *REQUIRE* the shooter, etc, perhaps consider locating some TOMI cards on eBay or elsewhere and turning the system into a Centracom Series II Plus. Makes life a *LOT* easier. You'll have to locate AEI's and a "Y" cable for each OP, but in my humble opinion it's worth the effort as that shooter and all that EPROM programming is just too hokey for me.
