A couple of thoughts come to mind. First, what are you using for a power supply?
Does it have enough current available to operate the radio in transmit? I know you
said it works fine in RX and TX. If you can transmit with it, how much power is
it putting out?
Second, do you have the emergency jumper installed on the accessory connector?
Third, do you have power to both the high current feed to the radio as well as the
accessory connector? Again, I know you said that it transmits OK. Have you actually
measured what the DC voltage is at or inside the radio? Does it stay at that voltage
when the radio goes tilt?
Forth, is this a whored out codeplug or one that was working until it was messed with?
Fifth, have you double checked the programming to insure that the control head buttons
are set the way you think they are?
It is possible that you have got yourself a leaky cap damaged radio. If that is the case,
you going to have to either fix the cap and board problems or replace the damaged
circuit board or boards. The control heads are also prone to the leaky cap problems.
Have you tried to do any major swap outs to locate the problem? If you have another
control head, I would start with that. They are easy to change out.
My gut feeling is your missing something simple here, or that you haven't told us the whole story.

MODE, VOL, DIM, HOME buttons repond fine with no problems.
It's just fine on TX/RX
The MLM form same model and feature Spectra was just installed.
The S/N board-MLM issue was resolved, but this new problem persists.
Any thoughts welcome.
