There are several of these on the bay now, and they are cheap! 150$ or so.... 110 watt Plus system 9000 siren, and jotto plate. Is this to good to be true?

Not knowing much About these, I looked at the flash and it shows conventional 0000010000009
Why would the pd use these Astro if they are not?

How much would it cost to make this imbe conventional 12.5khz capable? and how much trouble is it? Is it worth it?

They would use them because they purchased them with an intention to upgrade to digital at some point, or because the analog Spectra had already been discontinued at the time of their purchase.

They are analog only. Some have 2.5K decks, most don't. An IMBE flash would cost about $600.

Wow! I think I'll hold off on that....
I have an Xtl 5k mobile, just going to save for another one!

Got mine in today. 09.60.02 firmware, A06.xx.xx DSP
I had my fingers crossed for an I or N DSP board, but I did get a 2.5 rf board, for the complete setup for under $200 shipped, I think it was a good deal.
